
Here's a look through some of the SFPD's recent daily crime reports for the Outer Sunset and Parkside. Over the past week, the neighborhood saw a burglary that resulted in over $50K in losses; a store robbery that involved two suspects, a knife, and an Audi A6; and a traffic collision that left a man with life-threatening injuries.
It’s also worth noting that SFPD Taraval Station’s monthly meeting has been cancelled for February. Details for March’s meeting have not yet been announced.
Burglar Makes Off With Over $50K in Currency and Jewelry
On January 27th between 11am and 1pm, a burglary occurred on the 2900 block of Judah Street (between 31st and 32nd avenues). The victim had been working in his backyard when he went into his home and realized that his bedroom had been ransacked. The value of the missing property, which included U.S. currency and jewelry, amounted to over $50,000. No suspect information is currently available.
Robbers Steal Beer and Chips, Assault Store Employee
On January 23rd, at about 2:50pm, a robbery involving two suspects took place. The first suspect, a 30-35 year old man, entered a store on the 1300 block of 46th Avenue. He ran out of the store with a case of beer and an unknown amount of chips.
A 45 year-old male store employee, attempted to give chase, but a second suspect, also a 30-35 year old man, blocked the door and brandished a knife. The second suspect exchanged words with the victim and then punched the victim on the jaw.
The second suspect then fled, but later returned with the first suspect to retrieve their vehicle, a silver Audi A6 with a hint of gold and paper plates. According to police, the car was last seen heading towards the Great Highway.
The store employee refused medical attention. While the side of his jaw was in pain, his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Collision Leaves Man with Life-Threatening Injuries
A traffic collision occurred on January 22nd at the busy intersection of 19th Avenue and Sloat Blvd. Around 6:16pm, a motorcycle and a car collided. The victim, a 25-30 year old male, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
