The first Lower Haight Art Walk of the year is nearly upon us, and a slew of interesting events are on the docket. Though the neighborhood has recently lost some key art walk businesses (such as D-Structure), newcomers Debonair, Three Ravens and Black Sands are all stepping up to the plate to stay open late, offer sweet deals, and celebrate the artistic vibe of the neighborhood.

Come tomorrow night, artist Kevin Umaña will be live-painting the empty building that formerly housed Lee's Popular Market. A Fillmore-themed mural on the building was painted over several months ago, but now some life will be brought back to its empty walls.

Another new mural on the side of Wild Feather (on Steiner at Haight) should grab some attention. The mysterious ladies have been painted over this week, with a brand new collaborative piece by artists MARS-1, David Choong Lee, Oliver Vernon, Nome Edonna and Damon Soule

In addition to gallery shows at Three Ravens, Luggage Store Projects and FIFTY24SF, keep an eye out for a pop-up photography show in a moving truck parked on the street, featuring photos by artists Sam Yang and Matthew Stoneback.

Last but not least, stop in at the upcoming Debonair Shave & Parlor in the former D-Structure space for some live DJ action, and to welcome them to the neighborhood.
