Closer to home, scaffolding has gone up outside the Walgreens building at Castro and 18th. The building will be getting a long-overdue fresh coat of paint.

Let's take a look at a few of the highlights for this week in the Castro.

This afternoon at LinkedIn's San Francisco offices, join the SF LGBT Center in the Nation's Largest LGBTQ Career Fair. You've still got time to register online for this event, which will "showcase leading Bay Area employers dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the workplace." Grab you resume and head on over to what is sure to be a career building event.

Grease is the word this week at the Castro Theatre Sing-Along to the popular John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John film. Throw on your T-Birds jacket, grease your hair and get ready for summer loving.

You can also catch two shows this weekend at the Swedish American Music Hall presented by Noise Pop. On Friday, HUMANS will impress you with their ability to "fuse experimental electronic elements with catchy indie-pop hooks." On Saturday, 20-year-old Las Vegas native Shamir will entertain as "he moves in and out of soul, r&b, house, disco, rap, and pop—in the tradition of artists like Prince, Grace Jones, David Bowie, and Madonna."
