With the SFMOMA reopening its doors and Bike To Work Day rolling through, a busy weekend is on the horizon here in SoMa. Here's a quick look at what's coming up:
Local Art Shows
If you've ever heard the term "food insecurity" and wondered just what it means, you'll want to stop by Intersection for the Arts tonight to check out a new exhibition titled "I Got Nothing."
The exhibition features photos snapped by 18-25 year olds living in supportive housing South of Market, capturing the nuances of finding healthy food, feeding pets, and learning to cook with no money or support. Before you go, check out our interview with the photographers.

Tomorrow night, Terrior Gallery at Seventh and Langton is being taken over by the up-and-coming artist collective, ARTICIN, with a psychedelic touch to showcase their first group show.
ARTICIN is a group of six artists who've been making names for themselves through music and art festivals and North Bay galleries. The group's manager, Bryan Wiseman, said he formed the collective about a year and a half ago to help elevate each of the members beyond the psychedelic world.
Since then, they've been exploring ways to make their art stand out in a crowded field and learn from one another's crafts—which include design work, mixed-media painting, jewelry making and more.
At Thursday night's show, you'll find original paintings and drawings (ranging from the low $100s to mid-$1,000s) as well as more affordable prints ($10-$50) and handmade jewelry.

Bike To Work Day
With sun on the forecast and the Bay Area Bike Share offering free rides all day, there's few excuses to skip the annual Bike to Work Day tomorrow morning.
District 6 residents are encouraged to meet up at Brainwash (1122 Folsom St.) to join Supervisor Jane Kim on a leisurely ride down to City Hall for an early-morning bike commuter rally.
Those who need to head straight to work may want to allot a few extra minutes to pick up some goodies along the way.

SFMOMA Returns
Finally, Yerba Buena's many art and culture institutions are putting their party hats on to help welcome the newly-expanded SFMOMA back to the neighborhood.
While tickets to explore the SFMOMA for free on opening day are all sold out, all are welcome to drop by for the ribbon-cutting ceremony and stick around for free live performances in Yerba Buena Gardens and Annie Street Plaza. Many of the neighborhood's other museums and galleries will also be offering free admission for the occasion. Here's the full schedule; scroll on for individual event listings.
