We're on the verge of another sunny, art-filled weekend here in the Tenderloin. Here's what's going on.
First off, the Vietnamese Youth Development Center and CAAMFest are teaming up to host a screening of Daze of Justice tonight at the Asian Art Museum. The film follows survivors of the 1970s Cambodian genocide as they return to their homeland to testify in a tribunal documenting the former regime's crimes against humanity.
After the screening, Cambodian genocide survivors and best-selling author Andrew Lam will engage in a panel discussion. Anyone who's interested in attending but unable to affordable the museum's $5 admission fee is encouraged to apply for one of a limited number of fee waivers.

Alternatively, take a journey into the final frontier with the opening of SF Camerawork's latest exhibition, S P A C E, tonight.
As we noted earlier this week, the Tenderloin Museum is turning one this Saturday. To celebrate, they're inviting a host of local performers, historians and artists to engage residents of all ages from 1-9pm—free of charge.
Finally, end the weekend on a high note with PowerPoint Karaoke this Sunday evening at PianoFight. How it works: Members of the audience volunteer to present PowerPoint slides they've never seen on topics chosen by the audience, while local band The Wyatt Act improvises background music to match.
