Score Hot Dogs And More At The Myriad’s New 'Jiffy Dog'Photo: Karen T./Yelp

Craving hot dogs? You’re in luck: a new spot has opened in the Castro. Called Jiffy Dog, the business located at 2175 Market St., inside the Myriad food hall. The hot dog stand comes from owner Alex Tao, who describes himself as a "part-time Uber driver and full-time hot dog slinger."

"I saved my earnings and purchased my first hot dog stand last year, and with my second one opening up, I'm proud to serve you," he writes. "Being a driver, I had plenty of time to think about how to prepare the perfect hot dog."

Expect "steamed hot dogs and sausages on a perfectly steamed bun" at the new spot, with offerings ranging from the Chicago-style dog to the Asian-inflected Japadog and Korean Drama ("a Jiffy Dog original"), as well as a selection of dips and nachos.

Karen T., the first Yelper to review the new spot on April 9th, said: "I'm honest and picky about what wieners goes into my mouth. Not all are worthy of hitting my stomach. I went to the 'semihard' opening of Jiffy dogs today and it was not disappointing. It's located inside the cute food court in the Castro Duboce district on Market street. I had the Korean Drama with cheese, kimchi, and BBQ sauce, yes I know sounds weird but it's their number one seller so I got it and it was so freaking good!! My favorite! I wanted to try the Japadog so I split it with my friend. Japanese Mayo, seaweed and what hit the spot was the pickled radish! Perfection in your mouth of creamy crunchy wiener!"

Yelper Billy N. added, "A friend and I stopped at this small little hot dog stand. It's located in a mellow open air food court. We both ordered the Japa dog. The chicken sausage was amazing. The toppings really made the dog enjoyable. Really recommend this place. MUST TRY THE JAPA DOG!"

Jiffy Dog is open 11am-9pm Monday-Saturday, 11am-8pm Sunday, at 2175 Market St.
