A new beer bar has debuted in the neighborhood. Located at 5303 Rainier Ave S. (between S 42nd Ave & Brandon St) in Columbia City, the new arrival is called Hill City Tap House & Bottle Shop.
While options for cold brews around Seattle are plentiful, Hill City aims to set itself apart with a casual, family-friendly vibe, and even features a kids play area for harried parents looking for a gathering spot in the neighborhood. With 24 taps featuring local and regional beers, bottles aplenty, and growler fills on offer, Hill City is the neighborhood's newest beer destination (there's even a patio to soak in whatever summer-ish weather might come our way). Check out a recent beer list here.
The newcomer has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.
Sheena N., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 10th, said: "Went to the grand opening today and loved it! Not only is there a great selection of local beers on tap and there are bottles and root beer (for the non-drinkers) also available."
Yelper Jason M. added: "I love this place! Great beer selection on tap. They even had Crux, a personal favorite of mine. Love the vibe. Very casual, easy to drop in."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Hill City Tap House & Bottle Shop is open weekends from noon to 10pm and Wednesday to Friday from 3pm to 10pm. (It's closed on Monday and Tuesday.)
