A new spot to score chicken wings and cheesesteaks has debuted in the neighborhood. Called King Philly Cheesesteaks, the newcomer is located at 7820 Rainier Ave S. (between Kenyon St & Chicago St) in Rainier Valley.
Opened in early June, King Philly serves up a selection of Philadelphia-style cheesesteaks, from classic to veggie to Buffalo to chicken. Wings run the gamut from BBQ to spicy buffalo to lemon pepper, and customers have a choice of sides, from fried pickle spears to cheese fries to onion rings and more.
The newcomer has collected solid reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 18 reviews on Yelp.
Garrett K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 15th, said: "I stopped in for lunch today to support a new local business and was quite impressed! Very friendly, clean, and welcoming place with an enticing selection of sandwiches and chicken wings."
Yelper Masil M. added: "Tried this place out during their grand opening. The interior is modern looking and spacious. The customer service is great. They really want to make sure that you are satisfied."
