If seafood is what you're after, look no further than this new business. The fresh arrival to Lake View, called Brown Bag Seafood, is located at 3400 N Lincoln Ave. (between Roscoe St & Paulina St).
It's the third Chicago location for Brown Bag Seafood, which has existing outposts inside Revival Food Hall and on East Randolph, with another on the way to N. Wells Street. Developed to "bring you responsibly sourced food, cooked on site, that is tasty and healthful," the company take a fast-casual approach to seafood.
Pick a protein from a range of options, from salmon to curry fish cakes to blackened shrimp, then decide if you want it serves in a salad, "straight up," or in a grain bowl. Fish tacos and lobster rolls are also on offer, and sides range from slaw, to soup, to tots and veggies. (See the full menu here.)
Brown Bag Seafood has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.
Brad T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 16th, said: "I've eaten at Brown Bag near the AON building - wonderful. The Brown Bag at Revival is amazing."
Yelper Alanna O. added: “All I have to say in YUM!!!! This place just opened, so it's not super busy....yet. Because once ppl figure out how tasty this place, and is it will be packed!"
And Kapil C. said: "Brand new location, great space for sit down or carry out. Had been to the one in Revival previously, which I love too, and but this menu is bigger."
