A new nail salon and waxing spot has debuted in the neighborhood. The new arrival to Fishtown / Lower Kensington, called Fishtown Nails Bar Cafe, is located at 2325 Frankford Ave.

Open since July 11th, the newcomer offers a variety of services, including manicures and pedicures, massages and waxing. According to its Facebook page, customers who visit the store before August 15th will receive a 20 percent discount on their bill.

The new nail salon has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Jenna-Lee U., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 17th, said: "Came after work for a pedicure. Place is cute, clean, and was offered beer, wine, and or water. After work is my wine time so I gladly accepted! Much appreciate that perk! They have a great polish selection to chose from."

Yelper Renee S. added: “I received a pedicure and gel manicure today. The pedicure was so relaxing and she made sure nothing was hot or uncomfortable. My manicure looks great! Overall great experience and very nice staff!"

And Brynn K. said: "I have been walking past this storefront for weeks waiting for its grand opening and was absolutely blown away. The staff is so friendly--you are greeted with smiles and offered a complimentary wine, coffee, tea, or water."
