A new spot to score coffee and baked goods has debuted in the neighborhood. The new addition to Rittenhouse, called Konditori, is located at 115 S 18th St.

Billed as a "Swedish espresso bar," the new cafe joins one other Konditori location in Philly, as well as eight New York locations. Roughly translating to "a traditional Swedish gathering place to enjoy warm drinks, fine baked goods and confections," Konditori was established by Per Inglander and Ronny Kaj in 2010 in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Expect a broad offering of coffee drinks, tea, smoothies and juices, plus baked items like muffins, bagels, Swedish-inspired pastries and more, all served in "warm, vintage and rustic environment." (See the full menu here.)

With just one review on Yelp thus far, Konditori currently has a five-star rating.

danny n., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on July 18th, said: "Thanks so much for coming to the neighborhood! We work both in NY and in Philadelphia so we travel a lot. It's nice to have our local coffee shop in both places! Best coffee and pastries."

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Konditori is open weekdays from 6:30am–7pm, and weekends from 6:30am–6pm.
