A new stadium and arena has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The new arrival to Ruby Hill, called Levitt Pavilion Denver, is located at 1380 W Florida Ave.
It's the biggest outdoor music venue in Denver proper, with enough space to fit as many as 17,000 people. The venue is the "first and only free cultural venue in Denver," and will offer 50 free shows for concertgoers. According to its website, "the amphitheater will also act as a launching pad for local artists, exposing them to audience sizes eclipsing those of local bars and indoor venues. "
You have the option of attending free shows as well as ticketed shows by purchasing tickets on its website. The next free concert will take place July 27th with a performance by Whiskey Shivers, Garrett Lebeau and R.L. Cole & His Angels. (See the full schedule here.)
With just one review on Yelp thus far, Levitt Pavilion Denver currently has a four-star rating.
Alice O., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on July 21st, said: "Opening night at Levitt Pavillion and it's a really nice vibe and huge open space. Kind of like Fiddlers Green but all lawn with a seated section of pull out chairs."
