Hungry? A new neighborhood Chinese spot in has you covered. Located at 3915 Kirby Dr. in Greenway / Upper Kirby Area, the fresh arrival is called Pepper Twins.
It's the third location for the restaurant, which also has eateries in River Oaks and Montrose. Pepper Twins "specializes in country-style organic Chinese and gluten-friendly cuisine" and serves Angus certified beef, Berkshire pork, and poultry sourced from local farms in many of its dishes, which range from classics like General Tso's Chicken to creative dishes like the steamed pumpkin pork rib. With a 4.5-star rating out of 17 reviews on Yelp so far, Pepper Twins is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Rebecca L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 17th, said: "I am Taiwanese and am super picky about my Chinese food and so much so that lots of the Chinese restaurants do not suit my taste. Pepper Twins is THE exception."
Yelper Suety K. added: “The food is good as always - first time getting the hot diving fish but it actually wasn't too spicy compared to other dishes."
