A new bakery has debuted in the neighborhood. The new arrival to Phinney Ridge, called Celine Patisserie, is located at 6801 Greenwood Ave N. (between 68th St & 70th St).

New owners Alexei and Daniela Bucos opened their cafe in the space that once housed Picnic, a food and wine boutique. The couple, who are originally from Moldova and spent time living in Italy, are now bringing love and knowledge of pastry and coffee to the neighborhood.

Expect a selection of Illy-brand coffee drinks, along with breakfast specials and pastries, such as monkey bread, ham and cheese croissants, walnut honey cake, strawberry mousse and more. Later in the day, the cafe offers lunch items like smoked salmon sandwiches, raw/vegan cakes, and other items.

The new bakery has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.

Giancarlo L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 8th, said: "We live just a couple blocks away and I was so excited to see a new cafe in the neighborhood. They use Illy products which are super high quality and European which is a nice change of pace."

Yelper Scott W. added: “We are so pleased that Alexei and Daniela opened Celine Patisserie in our neighborhood! It's in the old Picnic space and handy to 8 Limbs Yoga."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Celine Patisserie is open Monday–Friday from 7am–7pm, and Saturday from 8am–8pm.
