A new sports bar has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The fresh addition to Wrigleyville, called Brickhouse Tavern, is located at 3647 N Clark St. (between Waveland Ave & Patterson Ave).
We can't say for sure whether the Cubs will be playing in this year's World Series. But we can tell you that the new neighborhood joint has four bars, two outdoor terraces, impressive views of Wrigley Field and the city skyline, and several large-screen TV's to watch the games.
Brickhouse, which is named after Cubs broadcaster Jack Brickhouse, offers seven different cocktails, dozens of beer options and 10 variations of sparkling, white and red wine. Alongside its beverage offerings, you'll be able to nibble on the Brickhouse bacon sandwich (thick cut bacon, black pepper aioli, tomato, jack cheese), the Chicago Polish dog (all-beef sausage, tomato, pickle, classic mustard, sweet relish, sport peppers, poppy seed brioche bun), as well as pizza slices, salads, and bar bites for less than $15 a plate. (See the full menu here.)
There's just one review on Yelp thus far, which gives it 5.0 stars.
Todd H., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on July 3rd, said: "Had the Chicago Polish Dog and it was delicious!!! The fries are excellent as well; crispy and very flavorful. Great place to stop when you are at Wrigley Field."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Brickhouse Tavern is open Saturday from 11am to 3am, and Sunday to Friday from 11am to 2am.
