
A new sushi bar, offering ramen and more, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Urara, the fresh addition is located at 82 Stewart St. (between Pike Pl & Post Aly) in Pike Market.
The new eatery offers a variety of Japanese dishes, such as sushi rolls and sashimi, alongside entrees like the chicken teriyaki ($12.50), chicken katsu curry ($13.50), tempura udon ($12) and more. Finish off your meal with an order of the tempura ice cream ($7.50), mochi ice cream ($5) or some plain old vanilla ($4.50), before heading back into the Market.
The new arrival has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 10 reviews on Yelp.
H P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 28th, said: "Excited to see this new Japanese restaurant open up near my work... The food was delicious and we had the Udon noodle dish and chicken teriyaki as our entrees."
Yelper Wendy L. added: "We were excited to see that they had just opened up. The staff were friendly and the service is good. The food was creative and colorful and came in large sizes for lunch order."
And Maile C. said: "Awesome flavor, very fresh tasting. Ordered spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, karaage, edamame, and and tamago. Was hoping to order the chicken katsu curry but was too full."
