A new spot to score ice cream, frozen yogurt and more has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 3500 E Colfax Ave. in Congress Park, the newcomer is called Milkroll Rolled Ice Cream.

It's the first rolled ice cream shop in Denver, and the treats served at this shop are a little different than what you may see at other ice cream joints.

Customers start by selecting a base (original, matcha or chocolate), then choose mix-ins, which include pineapple, Oreos, cereal, graham cracker, red bean and other fruits. All of these items will be spread thin onto a chilled surface, and once hardened, the employee will roll the ice cream into multiple scoops.

Finish it off with your choice of toppings, from sprinkles and marshmallows to coconut and more, and drizzles (chocolate, caramel, strawberry, Nutella, honey and condensed milk).

You also have the option to choose from one of the house-made concoctions, which include "matcha made in heaven," "sundae fun day," "tropical delight" and more, for $6.50-$7.50.

In addition to ice cream, there are several beverages to choose from,  strawberry lemonade and four variations of milk tea, for less than $4.50 each.

With a 4.5-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, the newcomer seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Jincy A., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 20th, said: "The ice cream was amazing!! Super proud of you guys!! I'll definitely be coming back!"

Yelper Melissa T. added: “Oh my love! I love, love, love ice cream. When I found out Milkroll was opening--I HAD to go! It is so so cute with brightly colored spots painted on the walls, and and incredible customer service."
