
A new seafood spot, offering outdoor dining and more, has debuted in the neighborhood. Called South Bank Seafood Bar, the newcomer is located at 702 W Dallas St. in Fourth Ward.
Open since early July, it's a reinvention of the former Refinery, complete with with a climate-controlled patio with skyline views, and strong seafood focus that features appetizers like oysters, fried calamari, lobster quesadillas and more. The extensive menu ranges from po boys to peel 'n' eat shrimp, chowder to fish tacos and lobster rolls, so come hungry and hope for an outdoor seat.
With a five-star rating out of 13 reviews on Yelp so far, South Bank Seafood Bar seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Cody S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 11th, said: "Just found this spot driving along yesterday and decided to stop in. I had been to the refinery when it was here but I have to say I like this new place much better."
Yelper Blake C. added: “From the first time I walked into here, the manager (Gabe) and staff (bartender Ben) were very friendly and made me feel very welcome."
And Ashley K. said: "The scenery is dope. The food was delicious. We had the shrimp pop boy and fried shrimp basket and the grilled shrimp basket with pineapple rice."
You can anticipate spending $11-$30 per person on a visit to South Bank Seafood Bar, as it's marked as two dollar signs on Yelp.
