A new dim sum spot, offering noodles and more, has debuted in the neighborhood. Called Yong Kang Street Express, the new addition is located at 5015 Westheimer Rd. in Greater Uptown.
It's the third location for the Chinese food restaurant, which already has outposts in Las Vegas and Brooklyn. Located inside the Galleria, it's a fast-casual mall concept that offers a selection of dumplings, pork buns, fried rice, lo mein, and noodle soups and stir-fries.
With a four-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp so far, Yong Kang Street Express is getting solid feedback from clientele.
Mike F., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 13th, said: "Wow; what a breath of fresh air for mall Chinese food! The ingredients they use for their noodles are so fresh; I guess it helps that everything is made to order!"
Yelper Sam S. added: “Convenient location in the galleria with more of an authentic taste than an Americanized one."
And jeffrey w. said: "My No.1 noodle restaurant in town. I think I may come every week for the beef noodle soup. I love it!"
