
Looking for a new sushi bar to check out? Look no further than this new arrival. Located at 2536 Overland Ave. in Cheviot Hills, the fresh arrival is called Nishi Poke & Ramen Bistro.
Nishi Poke & Ramen Bistro serves a wide array of traditional Japanese favorites, from gyoza or chicken karaage, to Hawaiian-inspired poke bowls like a ponzu tuna bowl with fresh edamame.
As for the ramen, this spot serves mainly tonkotsu-based soups, a creamy pork broth base that's simmered for 24 hours and topped with pork char chiu and green onions. Looking for something a little different? Try the spicy miso ramen or the veggie.
With a five-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp so far, the new arrival has been warmly received by patrons.
helen k., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 10th, said: "I found my new favorite neighborhood restaurant!!!! Delicious ramen, I highly recommend the vegan one! We had their kaarage(Japanese fried chicken pieces), gyoza, and and the California rolls."
Yelper Irene K. added: “Wrote my review in the tips section. Freshest poke ingredients I have had in a while. I like that you can make it healthy or add that spicy mayo sauce! Ramen is also delicious.”
