Feel The Love At Philadelphia's 5 Most Romantic RestaurantsPhoto: Fork/Facebook

Whether you're getting to know someone new or want to celebrate an occasion with your significant other, it's always good to have at least one killer romantic restaurant in your back pocket. Here are five places around town where the vibe is relaxed, the lighting is dim, and the wine is flowing—creating an intimate atmosphere for two.

Bistro Romano

For an unforgettable evening with your loved one, head over to Bistro Romano for a romantic dinner for two. The restaurant, which has been around since 1973, gives off an intimate vibe with open beam ceilings, brick walls and soft lighting. You can opt for a table upstairs, but the most romantic part of the restaurant is in the wine cellar downstairs where you'll find candlelit tables with rose petals near barrels of wine. The menu features classic Italian options like calamari, burrata, pasta and more, along with an expansive list of wines to choose from.

Harp and Crown

Thanks to Michael and Nina Shulson, the rustic yet chic feel of Harp and Crown will have you feeling like you've been transported to a Parisian cafe without actually leaving the city. The space, complete with 24-feet ceilings, four chandeliers, vintage wall paper and photographs and leather club chairs, is ideal for a date night, an anniversary dinner or any other special occasion you're looking to celebrate. After chowing down on mouthwatering options like the ricotta gnocchi, smoked octopus pizza, skirt steak and more, make your way downstairs to the reservation-only bowling alley and get to know each other even better over some friendly competition.

Ambra
Queen Village

Since it opened for business in the latter half of 2016, Ambra has continued to draw in customers thanks to its beautiful space and seasonally changing menu. The 16-seat restaurant, complete with rustic decor and warm interior colors, is perfect for a night out with your significant other. The $72 four-course pre fixe isn't cheap, but with options like sourdough spaghetti, olive oil poached turbot and Cape Cod sea scallop crudo with squid ink carta di musica for dinner, you won't regret your decision.

Tip: If it's a special occasion and you're looking to impress your partner, let the restaurant know beforehand and they'll write a personalized message on top of the menu.

Moshulu

If you're looking to spice things up, how about taking your date on a ship for dinner? Moshulu, which has been featured in well-known films like Rocky and The Godfather Part II, claims to be the "oldest and largest square rigged sailing vessel still afloat." The landmark restaurant provides indoor seating with views of the water. But for the full dining experience—if the weather permits—we highly suggest making a reservation for a seat on the upper deck. Not only will you and your partner get to eat under the stars and twinkling lights, but you'll also get to take in some breathtaking views of the city.

Fork
Old City

Make it a night to remember by surprising your partner with a visit to Fork in Old City. The sleek, modern eatery, complete with plant decors, soft palettes, beautiful chandeliers and twinkling lights all throughout the space, offers a $78 four-course pre-fixe menu for everybody at the table. Diners will get to select their choice of starter, pasta, entree and dessert from options that include smoked shrimp carpaccio, squid ink rigatoni, New Jersey golden tilefish and more.
