A new spot to score coffee, tea and more has opened for business in the neighborhood. Located at 900 Wilshire Blvd. in Downtown, the new addition is called Café WG.
Café WG, which recently opened inside the InterContinental Hotel in DTLA, is serving a wide array of coffee drinks, matcha teas, chai, and baked goods.
You'll find traditional lattes, cappuccinos, and drip coffee on the menu, but there are also specialty drinks available, like the macadamia-flavored mocha, the Oat-ly Mocha made with oat milk (dairy and nut-free), and lavender or blueberry matcha lattes.
Rounding out the drink menu, there are organic green, black, and herbal teas, as well as cold-brewed iced teas. The café also serves croffins, a mix between a croissant and a muffin.
With a 4.5-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, Café WG seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
minkoo w., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 1st, said: "I am not really a coffee fan but I tried Americano because that's what I usually drink at the Starbucks. Wow. but this Americano is very different and better quality."
And Diana J. said: "Super friendly staff and great quality coffee. Their menu has a variety of high quality teas, coffees, and unique matcha drinks! They even have alternate non dairy milk like almond."
