A new Hawaiian spot, offering poke and seafood, has debuted in the neighborhood. The fresh arrival to Silver Lake, called Sweetfin Poké, is located at 3112 Sunset Blvd.
The philosophy at Sweetfin Poké is "from 'Pole to Bowl.' That means that in sourcing our fish we aim to use the highest-quality and most sustainable raw fish we can find while still maintaining a reasonable price point."
This new addition is Sweetfin Poké's sixth location, with its seventh to debut in DTLA soon.
Choose from one of the signature bowls like the Spicy Tuna (creamy togarashi sauce, hijiki, and avocado) or the Shiitake Chile Tofu (classic sauce, chile oil, cilantro), or build your own from a selection of bases, fish, and vegetarian toppings, with a wide variety of add-ons. (See the full menu here.)
Sweetfin Poké has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.
Meilani K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 12th, said: "This poké chain is located where Knuckle and Claw used to be. (There is a tiny parking lot adjacent!) The menu is pretty standard and with various pre-made bowls with different combos of fish."
Yelper Danny H. added: “I love POKE! Salmon poke, ponzu sauce, bamboo rice, ... okay let's continue with the review. After finding about Sweetfin Poke in Santa Monica, and I was adamant about finding a closer location.”
And April V. said: "Welcome to Silver Lake and Sweetfin! So happy there a closer location to our home. It basically is the same menu as the other Sweetfin Poke locations. But it seems this location is more generous."
