There's a brand-new brewery in town. Located at 2210 California St. in Five Points, the fresh arrival is called Woods Boss Brewing Company.
Softly open and slated to officially kick off with a grand opening weekend on August 11th, Jordan Fink and Chad Moore's company is the latest craft brewery to open in Denver. It's housed in a 5,400-square-foot space that features a 21-foot bar made from sustainably sourced redwood and space for 160 drinkers.
Currently, there are 13 beer options available, including Flashcard (sour), Mind the Kerf (oatmeal brown), Don't Mess With the Train God (IPA), Thumb Smasher (pale ale) and more, in 4-, 10- and 16-ounce glasses. (See here for the full menu.)
With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the fresh addition has been warmly received by patrons.
Lauren G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 5th, said: "We wandered in to their soft opening today and I'm so happy we did. Awesome atmosphere, good staff, and and all the beers we ordered were solid. Great first impression guys. Keep on keepin on."
Yelper Katie C. added: “Got a sneak peek yesterday and was blown away! Not only is the space beautiful and open with a very comfortable feel and but the beer is FANTASTIC!"
And B W. said: "These guys brew a hell of a beer. Craft brew is all about the brew, the passion and science behind the beer. Although these guys are just getting going, and they know beer. Worth a stop and talking about drinking and enjoying their beer."
