'Perle Wine Bar' Opens Its Doors In Montclair VillagePhoto: Kyu L./Yelp

There's a brand-new wine bar in town. This fresh addition to Montclair Village, called Perle Wine Bar, is located at 2058 Mountain Blvd. (between La Salle Ave & Medau Pl).

Founders Rob Lam and Marcus Garcia believe in connecting with the community by using only fresh ingredients that are locally sourced. The menu features starters like charcuterie with mustard and bread, pan-seared abalone, beef tartare and bone marrow, along with entrees such as Linguine Alle Vongole (clam’s casino, Iacopi Farms sweet peas, and pancetta), and Pernod Mussels (fennel sausage meatballs, saffron rouille, and fried bread), plus a variety of fromages and sides. (See the full menu here.)

Perle Wine Bar has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Philip K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 28th, said: "Popped in for the soft opening. The food was fantastic and service was amazing. This is the only real date night location in Montclair, and it should definitely be enjoyed."

Yelper Kyu L. added: “Everyone knows that the food culture in Oakland has been growing and evolving in leaps and bounds over the past few years.

And Katie S. said: "My husband and I went to dinner here last night and which was during their soft opening. Everything about Perle is amazing! The ambience and decor is sophisticated yet welcoming."

Perle Wine Bar is open daily from 5 – 9pm, and for brunch on weekends 11am – 3pm, so swing on by to take a peek.
