A new bakery and smoothie spot, offering coffee, tea and more, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Melo's Café, the newcomer is located at 476 Saratoga St. (between Chelsea St & Shelby St) in East Boston.
Melo's Café offers a variety of espresso drinks like lattes, americanos, cappuccinos and cafe con leche, plus iced coffee and fruit smoothies.
To eat, look for an array of sandwiches and Central American pastries, from galletas to pan de leche and more.
Yeunbee P., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on August 21st, said: "Cute little coffee and pastry shop in East Boston. The pastries and breads reminded me of the ones that I encountered throughout my travels in central Mexico—yummy and on the sweet side."
Head on over to check it out: Melo's Café is open Wednesday from 6am–7pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6am–8pm, and Sunday from 7am–6pm.
