A new Mexican spot has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Ambakity Cocina Mexicana, the fresh addition is located at 8515 14th Ave S. (between S Dallas Ave. & Sullivan St.) in South Park.
The recently opened restaurant, which is taking over the former Muy Macho spot, specializes in Michoacán-style cuisine.
On the menu, look for items like Oaxacan pork tamales, carnitas estillo topped with pickled red onions, ceviche, and a fresh fish of the day with citrus salad and garlic white rice.
There's a full bar as well, featuring bottled and draft beers and signature cocktails like a mango margarita with Chamoy sauce.
It's still early days for the fledgling business—it's got just one review on Yelp thus far.
Dan C., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on September 22nd, said: "Quality food. Love the tacos al pastor! Carnitas Michoacan great too. I'll be back to get through the full menu!"
