A new cafe, offering ice cream, desserts and more, has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called N2 Sweet Cafe, the fresh arrival is located at 125 N. 11th St. in Chinatown.
N2 Sweet Cafe uses liquid nitrogen to flash-freeze its ice cream, which it says creates "smaller ice crystals and a smoother, creamier product."
The menu features a selection of signature flavors like "Black and White" with vanilla ice cream mixed with Oreo pieces and topped with white chocolate, whipped cream, and an Oreo cookie; and "Green Zest" with green tea ice cream and graham crackers, topped with white chocolate, strawberries, whipped cream and a dusting of green tea powder.
Guests can also customize their own flavors, with an array of toppings to choose from. (You can check out the full signature flavor menu here.)
With a four-star rating out of 24 reviews on Yelp so far, the new cafe has made a promising start.
Khino H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 1st, said: "Visited from Boston and stumbled across their soft opening. Candice (spelling?) helped me out in explaining what an Eskimo Kiss (cotton candy nitrogen balls) was."
Yelper Morgan A. added: “Wow. Normally I am very skeptical of places like this because it just seems like a bunch of hype and mediocre ice cream. But I was pleasantly surprised with N2! The place itself is very cute.”
Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. N2 Sweet Cafe is open Monday–Thursday from 11:30am–11pm, Friday and Saturday from 11:30am–midnight, and Sunday from noon–10pm.
