A new spot to score ice cream and bubble tea has debuted in the neighborhood. Called Ice Station, the new addition is located at 1130 W. Argyle St. in Uptown.

Ice Station specializes in Thai-style rolled ice cream, made by freezing thin layers of ice cream base on cold metal plates and rolling them into tubes with special scrapers. Guests choose from a variety of flavors as a base, then incorporate an array of desired toppings to round out their creations.

On the list of ice cream flavors, expect to see chocolate, banana, strawberry, green tea, mango and Oreo. And for toppings, there's chocolate chips, marshmallows, chocolate and strawberry Pocky, rainbow sprinkles, and more.

Ice Station also serves a variety of milk tea and boba drinks, like taro milk tea, matcha, mango black tea, iced lattes, and more.

Ice Station has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp.

Mary X., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 18th, said: "Nice service! The ice cream tastes delicious! Looks amazing also! Love this place, gonna come back again for sure."

Yelper Nathan L. added: “I LOVE ICE STATION! The interior decor is very modern, and simply put, this is the best rolled ice cream I've ever had. The waiting time is on the long side, but it's acceptable.”

And Bowen K. said: "The Ice cream here is fantastic!...The staff is friendly. Nice environment! Try their bubble tea too."
