A new Mediterranean and halal spot has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 10400 Greenwood Ave N. (between N Holman Rd. & 104th St.) in Greenwood, the new addition is called Gyro Time.
This new spot features a variety of Mediterranean mainstays as well as an array of vegetarian options.
On the menu, expect to see entrees like chicken or beef and lamb gyros (served with rice and a salad), and kufta kabob with tomatoes and onions.
On the vegetarian menu, look for items like a falafel sandwich with pickles and tahini sauce, baba ghanouj and pita, a mixed vegetable plate with deep-fried cauliflower and hummus and more. (You can check out the full menu here.)
The fresh addition has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of 23 reviews on Yelp.
Ari C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 4th, said: "I am so happy that my boyfriend found this place on Yelp. We were surpised how close it was to the house."
And Mr W. said: "In the food desert that is North Beach/Blue Ridge, this little oasis certainly surprises. Their chicken shawarma was excellent!"
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Gyro Time is open daily from 11am–10pm.
