If you've got Asian fast food on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. Called Kigo Kitchen, the newcomer is located at 105 1st Ave S. (between Washington St & Yesler Way) in Pioneer Square.
Kigo Kitchen—which has four other locations, in both Seattle and Boston—offers a selection of rice, noodle, and salad bowls, in addition to banh mi-style sandwiches.
Guests can choose from a variety of signature menu bowls, like the classic with chicken, teriyaki sauce, and mixed veggies; the vegetarian with tofu, peanut hoisin sauce, and veggies on yakisoba noodles; the spicy chicken salad with veggies in a chili citrus vinaigrette, and more. Or you can build your own bowl by choosing a base like rice, noodles or greens, then adding your choice of sauce, vegetables and protein.
There are also banh mi-style andwiches come with a choice of protein with pickled daikon and carrots on a toasted baguette. (You can check out the full menu here.)
Kigo Kitchen has gotten good reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.
Aakhil F., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 4th, said: "Kigo recently opened a location close to my office and I love it. It's fast, it's healthy, and and it's delicious. What's not to like."
And DW B. said: "I had the curry bowl for lunch here today. When I walked in, I noticed the concept is similar to Subway where you choose your meat, vegetables, sauce, and etc. I chose a bowl that was on the menu."
Head on over to check it out: Kigo Kitchen is open daily from 8am–8pm.
