A new bar and New American spot, offering seafood and more, has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Called Marisol, the new addition is located at 205 E Pearson St. (between Seneca St & Dewitt Pl) in Streeterville.

Marisol is located inside the Museum of Contemporary Art, and comes from the folks behind popular Logan Square eatery Lula Café.

The new spot offers traditional table-side service for lunch and dinner as well as counter service for those on the go. Dinners can opt to order a meal and sit at communal tables that form the "Street"—a community co-working space connected to the museum.

The menu is seasonal, so the restaurant recommends checking the website to see what's on offer before you go. But expect to see items like rigatoni with pumpkin seed and broccoli pesto, steamed swordfish with cauliflower, a dry-aged strip steak and more. (You can take a look at the current dinner menu here.)

With a 4.5-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp so far, Marisol has been warmly received by patrons.

Sarah S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 25th, said: "Marisol is going to quickly become a hot spot in the city! It's a bit hidden inside the MCA on the basement floor."

Yelper Bomi K. added: “We've been planning to make a trip to MCA to visit the Murakami exhibit for a long time, and and were excited to hear about Marisol opening up inside the museum.”

And Blake B. said: "Great food with unique flavors, great management, great service, and from the people of Lula Cafe in Logan Square. Located on the ground floor of the MCA. For your mornings, it has a proper coffee bar."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Marisol is open Tuesday–Saturday from 5pm–10pm. (It's closed on Sunday and Monday.)
