A new creperie and café, offering coffee, tea, wine, and more, has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 1707 Post Oak Blvd. in Greater Uptown, the newcomer is called Merchant.

This new spot offers a variety of sweet and savory crepes, as well as traditional breakfast and lunch fare.

On the menu, look for breakfast sandwiches with smoked ham, veggies or eggs and prosciutto on a multi-grain croissant; parfait bowls; chia horchata pudding; and a variety of pastries.

For crepes, expect to see savory flavors like smoked ham and gruyere and a Cubano with ham, eggs, cheese, pickles and mustard, and more. Sweet crepes can be filled with Nutella, cookies and creme, apples and cinnamon, or lemon curd with whipped cream.

There is an array of coffee drinks and wine by the glass on offer as well.

With a five-star rating out of 13 reviews on Yelp so far, the new spot has already made a good impression.

Risto K., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 29th, said: "Wonderful place!!! I love crapes and this place has many, and they are fantastic. The menu has few standard ones and pairings of flavors are good. I love cheese and blue cheese in particular."

Yelper Samantha J. added: “Came here to get a little studying done and I have to say I really loved the space! I was able to study without headphones in while enjoying my matcha latte and the breakfast sandwich.”

And Michael M. said: "Crepes, crepes, crepes! I love me some good crepes! I was pretty excited when I read about Merchant on Eater Houston. I love coffee and crepes, and the best part, and they have an interesting selection."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Merchant is open weekdays from 7am–9pm, and weekends from 9am–4pm.
