New 'Caffe Umbria' Location Now Open In WestlakePhoto: Lucas D./Yelp

A new cafe and coffee roastery has debuted in the neighborhood. Located at 1201 Westlake Ave N. (between Galer St. & Broad St.) in Westlake, the new addition is called Caffe Umbria.

This location is the latest addition to the Caffe Umbria family, which has a number of other outposts in Seattle, Portland and Chicago.

The caffe serves its own signature blend of "traditional Italian espresso and coffee drinks along with some innovative offerings like nitro cold brew." The beans are roasted in-house and are available for purchase by the pound as well.

Light breakfast and lunch fare is on offer, too, with selections from local Italian restaurant La Spiga.

The fresh arrival has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of four reviews on Yelp.

Feng S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 6th, said: "Walked by this new Umbria location and came back for my favorite caffe in Seattle. This is more modern style with the same excellent coffee as I had at Pioneer Square."

And Candi K. said: "This area is up and coming with all the new apartments opening, and this place is in the heart of it all."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Caffe Umbria is open weekdays from 6:30am–5pm, and weekends from 8am–5pm.
