New Chestnut Hill Breakfast And Sandwich Spot 'Louie's Little Hut' Opens Its DoorsPhoto: Louie's Little Hut/Yelp

A new breakfast and brunch spot, offering sandwiches and waffles, has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 8419 Germantown Ave. in Chestnut Hill, the new arrival is called Louie's Little Hut.

Named for owners Jim and Karen Cerenzia's puppie Louie, Louie's Little Hut is inspired by the couple's travels to Hawaii, with an array of island-inspired breakfast and lunch items. (The eatery is closed for dinner, but may house luau-themed dinner parties in the future.)

On the menu, expect to see burgers, sandwiches, salads and more. In the morning, there's also coffee, breakfast sandwiches on Hawaiian sweet rolls, and sweet and savory “wafflewiches."

With just one review on Yelp thus far, Louie's Little Hut currently has a five-star rating.

Greg Y., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on October 28th, said: "Just stopped in this morning for the first time. We ordered three of the build-your-own sandwiches and every one of them was incredible. This is our new favorite spot for breakfast sandwiches."

Head on over to check it out: Louie's Little Hut is open Wednesday–Sunday from 7am–3pm. (It's closed on Monday and Tuesday.)
