Hungry? A new neighborhood spot offering poke and Hawaiian fare has you covered. The new arrival to Chinatown's Dun Huang plaza, called Wiki Poki, is located at 9889 Bellaire Blvd.
Like a number of new Houston spots, Wiki Poki specializes in poke bowls, a classic Hawaiian dish made of marinated raw fish mixed with a choice of various toppings and sauces. Protein options include tuna, salmon, and shrimp, with accompaniments ranging from edamame to seaweed salad. The resulting dish is then served on a bed of rice or salad.
With a five-star rating out of 13 reviews on Yelp so far, Wiki Poki is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Yelper David N. said: “Nice, new and hip place, clean and inviting. Decor selection was great! Wiki is a little on small side, as a restaurant. Poke is popping up everywhere."
And Titi R. said: "This is definitely the new best place for a fast and healthy dish in Chinatown. Even my kids love their food. Little tip: you can always order a mix (rice with salad) for the base!"
Head on over to check it out: Wiki Poki is open Monday–Thursday from 11am–9:30pm, and Friday–Sunday from 11am–10pm.
