Looking to chow down on some Vietnamese fare? A new spot has you covered. Called Vietnam Express, the fresh addition is located at 106 S 20th St. in Rittenhouse.
Vietnam Express' debut location specializes in Vietnamese take-out fare, with items like sandwiches, noodle soups, rice plates and more.
On the menu, expect to see items like grilled pork, beef, chicken or tofu banh mi with pickled veggies, cilantro and jalapeños.
In the mood for noodles? Choose from brisket, beef balls, flank steak, or chicken pho.
There's bun on the menu as well, with grilled beef, pork chop, chicken breast or shrimp served with vermicelli and a fried egg. (You can check out the full menu here.)
Vietnam Express has already attracted fans thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 19 reviews on Yelp.
Dorcas H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 24th, said: "I have been needing a place with good banh mi, so I'm glad Vietnam Express is now in the neighborhood! At just $5-6 for a decent sized sandwich, this is going to become one of my favorite lunch spots."
Yelper Trang N. added: “I've had my fair share of banh mi, pho, bun in my lifetime, and since they are my childhood staples. I'm so glad Vietnam Express popped up so close to my office! I can walk down during lunch.”
And Sarah S. said: "I'm happy with this new place and location. I ordered a grilled pork banh mi to go. I got home and didn't get to eat it for another hour and it was still delicious."
