A new sushi bar has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The new addition to Rittenhouse Square, called Nori Sushi, is located at 1636 South St.
This new spot is serving up a variety of Japanese mainstays like maki sushi, te-maki (hand-rolls), sashimi, rolls and more.
On the menu, look for items like fresh sake (salmon), saba (mackerel), and unagi (eel) and more. There is also a chirashi daily bento special to take on-the-go.
With a five-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, the new sushi bar has been warmly received by patrons.
Regina S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 27th, said: "Loved Nori! I order takeout sushi at least once a week from a bunch of different places in Philly, and Nori is definitely one of the top contenders!"
Yelper Justin B. added: “The sushi here is good! About as good as Kei around the corner or Vic's downtown.”
And Serena L. said: "Tough to find a good sushi place with reasonable prices in Central City. Accidentally bumped into their grand opening last weekend. The sushi is amazing."
Head on over to check it out: Nori Sushi is open Monday–Thursday from 11am–10:30pm, Friday from 11am–11:30pm, Saturday from noon–11:30pm, and Sunday from noon–10:30pm.
