A new Hawaiian spot, offering poke and more, has opened up shop in the neighborhood. Called Poke Inn, the fresh arrival is located at 4848 Beechnut St. in Meyerland.
To order, guests choose from a base of white rice, brown rice, or mixed greens, then select from a variety of proteins like salmon, tuna, squid salad, or shrimp, and an array of sauces like spicy mayo, eel sauce, and ponzu. The whole concoction can then be topped with a selection of add-ons, like sweet corn, onion, wasabi, nori, ginger, and more.
Poke Inn has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp.
Thomas S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 7th, said: "Healthy and fresh and very tasty. If you like some heat, try the house spicy sauce. Friendly staff/owners."
Yelper Chris C. added: “This poke restaurant opened up two weeks ago. The bowls are 3 different sizes (s, l, xl) and you can choose white rice, brown rice, and salad or a combo of 2. I had the xl, which is around $11.”
And Vicky W. said: "Love this place. Very nice staff. Fish is very fresh! Best in the town. Definitely coming back!!"
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Poke Inn is open daily from 11am–9:30pm.
