Gelato fans, take heed: there's a new spot in town to get your fix. Called Nonno's Gelato & Italian Ice, the fresh arrival is located at 12355 Academy Rd. in Parkwood Manor.
This new creamery features a variety of Italian-inspired and rotating seasonal flavors of gelato. Expect to see flavors like salted caramel, tiramisu, mint, pumpkin, and more. There are dairy-free and vegan gelato options on offer as well.
With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, Nonno's Gelato & Italian Ice has been warmly received by patrons.
Stephen B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 16th, said: "New to the Parkwood area... If you have not tried gelato, then you must stop by here and try it. It's an ice cream like nothing other. It's a creamy type that's so delicious."
Yelper Bob H. added: “Nonno's is new to the area and I couldn't be happier. We haven't had a place like this around since Dairy Queen years ago. We've been here three times since opening.”
And Melissa D. said: "Always fresh and delicious. My son loves the vegan gelato, and we can't find anything like it in the area. The customer service is great . Looking forward to the next batch of new flavors."
