In need of some socks? A new business has you covered. Located at 4542 University Way NE (between 45th St. & 47th St.) in the University District, the new arrival is called Sockshop University.
Sockshop, which got its start in California is a family business, with a daughter carrying on the tradition by opening the store's first Washington location. The other stores, located on the Central Coast of California and in San Francisco, are run by her parents.
As the name suggests, the shop is all about socks and carries a wide selection of hosiery, with options including "novelty, fashion, running, cycling, hiking, diabetic, compression and more."
With just one review on Yelp thus far, Sockshop University currently has a four-star rating.
Lucky S., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on October 14th, said: "It's a bit of an obsession, but we're all entitled to a few, right? You won't find anything but socks here, mostly novelty, and a small selection of Darn Tough and the like too."
