A new healthy food spot, offering salad and more, has debuted in the neighborhood. Called Sweetgreen, the fresh arrival is located at 1000 W Randolph St. (between Carpenter St. & Morgan St.) in the West Loop.
Sweetgreen, which has locations throughout California and the East Coast, specializes in healthy fare, including salads and bowls, with a rotating seasonal menu.
Expect to see salads with curry cauliflower, chicken and Brussels sprouts; apple, pear and cheddar, and more.
On the entree side of the menu, there's a pesto portobello bowl with quinoa, fish tacos, and a "Harvest Bowl" with shredded kale, roasted chicken and sweet potatoes.
Or you can build your own salad or bowl, choosing from an array of toppings like spicy broccoli, raw corn, local apples, spicy quinoa, tortilla chips and more. (You can check out the full menu here.)
Sweetgreen has already attracted fans thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.
Yolanda J., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 29th, said: "This location recently opened and my office loves it! Right when you walk in it smells magnificent, and all the employees are soooo welcoming."
Yelper Dennis N. added: “I am not a big salad person, but my wife is. The produce tasted fresh and the options were plenty. I of course had to add chicken to mine just to balance everything out.”
And Sam P. said: "Great healthy food at a great price for West Loop! The staff makes you feel very welcome. Highly recommend."
