A new cafe has made its debut in the neighborhood. The new arrival to Washington Square West, called Good Karma Cafe, is located at 265 S. Broad St.

The café—which has three other locations in Philadelphia—was created to incorporate the owner's "values of economic parity, sustainable ecology, and genuine relationships," a statement reads on the business website.

Good Karma serves beans from Boston-based and worker-owned co-op coffee roaster Equal Exchange. Expect to see a rotating selection of beans, from light to darker roasts with hints of chocolate and fruit.

On the menu, look for items like "Popeye," a breakfast bagel with spinach, egg and cheese; a vegan tofu scramble with tomatoes; the "Colonel Mustard" sandwich with grilled chicken, smoked bacon and cheddar; and an array of salads. (You can check out the full menu here.)

There's just one review on Yelp thus far, which gives it four stars.

Deb D., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on October 19th, said: "Good Karma in general (especially the one on 9th and Pine) is one of my favorite Philly-esque coffee shops...a wonderful, homey neighborhood chain."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Good Karma Cafe is open daily from 6am–10pm.
