Hungry? A new neighborhood Cajun/Creole spot has you covered. The fresh arrival to the Near South Side, called Asian Cajun, is located at 2215 S. State St. (between Cermak Rd. & 23rd St.)

This new eatery, which has another outpost in Lincoln Park, specializes in Cajun-American fare with an Asian-fusion twist.

On the menu, expect to see starters like fresh oysters, crab rangoon, seafood egg rolls, Cajun edamame, and seafood nachos with shrimp and crawfish.

There are an array of fried seafood dishes, like salmon, soft shell crab, salt and pepper shrimp, crab or squid; all of those options are also available as po' boy sandwiches, served with a basket of fries.

Rounding things out are spicy ramen dishes, seafood fried rice, curry Cajun noodles with chicken or fish, pad thai, and tomyum soup. (You can check out the full menu here.)

With a 3.5-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp so far, Asian Cajun is getting solid feedback from clientele.

Vivyann N., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on November 4th, said: "First time here with the family. Definitely ambient environment with excellent service. We ordered the crawfish and blue crab and Dungeness crab with the trifecta sauce and mushrooms. The food was very flavorful and definitely didn't disappoint."

Asian Cajun is now open at 2215 S State St., so head on over to check it out.
