A new Vietnamese spot, offering coffee, banh mi and more, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 1800 S Carpenter St. (between 18th Pl) in the Lower West Side, the newcomer is called Ca Phe Da.

This new fast-casual eatery is run by the same folks behind neighboring Vietnamese restaurant HaiSous. At this smaller location, expect to see speciality coffee drinks, banh mi, salads, and more.

Entree options include grilled clams, green papaya salad, Vietnamese chicken salad, and the "Worker's Meal" with rice, protein and veggies. Five types of banh mi sandwiches are also on offer, including roast pork, grilled chicken, and vegetarian.

Rounding things out are Vietnamese-style coffee drinks with sweet milk, vanilla egg custard, and house-made yogurt.

There's just one review on Yelp thus far, which gives it five stars.

Paul F., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on October 29th, said: "This quaint cafe is an extension of Hai Sous! They have a number of banh mi, pastries, and and other hot dishes. The works banh mi is the bomb, and the roast cashew with caramelized duck skin is probably my favorite dish."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Ca Phe Da is open weekdays from 7am–2am. (It's closed on weekends.)
