If empanadas are what you're after, look no further than this new business. The new addition to Central Northwest, called The Empanada Company, is located at 2925 W. T C Jester Blvd.
This new spot features an array of savory and sweet empanadas, desserts, kolaches, breakfast items, and more.
On the empanada menu, expect to see offerings like the like beef mill hojas, with diced beef and tomatoes; the deshebrada, with shredded beef and cheese; the tinga, with marinated chicken and chipotle sauce; and the camaron, with shrimp.
On the breakfast side, there is an empanada with eggs and cheese, and a ham, egg, and cheese croissant.
The menu is rounded out with dessert empanadas, in flavors like pineapple or cherry with cream cheese, Nutella, and chocolate and cream.
The new addition has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.
C F., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on November 2nd, said: "This morning I stopped by to pick up a few dozen empanadas for my coworkers at the office. I was surprised on how quick I was able to place my order and receive my empanadas."
Yelper Sandra C. added: “The dough was great. Highly recommend the shredded beef with cheese, and pumpkin and Nutella."
And Christine M. said: "I was already excited to have a new place on my route in and out of Oak Forest, but to have a place to easily grab a super quick breakfast on my way to work or a casual lunch on the weekend is even better!"
