If ramen are what you're after, look no further than this new business. Located at 1222 E Pine St. (between 13th Ave & 12th Ave) in Broadway, the newcomer is called Ramen Danbo.
This is Ramen Danbo's third location outside of Japan; its two other North American outposts are in Vancouver, Canada. The restaurant specializes in rich and creamy Fukuoka-style tonkotsu, or pork broth, ramen.
On the menu, look for ramen dishes like the "Classic" chashu-men with braised pork belly and green onions, miso ramen, negi-goma ramen, and shio ramen. You can also order each dish rekka-style, with togarashi to add a spicy kick.
There are sides on offer as well, like gyoza and donburi rice bowls. (You can check out the full menu here.)
Ramen Danbo has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.
Emily P., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on November 4th, said: "We came here for the soft opening and luckily got here before the rush around 6:30, so there was no wait. Service here is quick and the food comes out really fast, which is great."
Yelper Camille J. added: “I thought I could not have been more excited that a ramen place was opening up so close to where I live, but now I'm even more happy that the ramen is tasty! The customization options are great."
