Ice cream and Italian ice fans, take heed: there's a new spot in town to get your fix. Located at 6333 West 3rd St. in Fairfax, the new arrival is called Local Ice.
This new ice cream joint, located at the Original Farmers Market, specializes in organic ice cream and dairy-free New York-style Italian ice. It has another outpost in Studio City as well.
On the ice cream menu, expect to see flavors like "Milo's Minted Chip," "Tommy's Traditional Vanilla," and "Coffee & Donuts."
For the Italian ice side of the menu, look for choices like "Totally Rad Raspberry," coconut cream, and "Lisa's Lemon." (You can check out the full menu here.)
It's still early days for the fledgling business—it's got just one review on Yelp thus far.
Allison L., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on November 7th, said: "Very good flavors! I'm surprised this place has been around a month and there's no reviews yet. Guy who served me and my boyfriend was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about their whole ice cream menu."
