There's a brand-new beer and wine garden in town. The new addition to Washington Avenue Coalition / Memorial Park, called Spring Street Beer & Wine Garden, is located at 1920 Houston Ave.
This new spot, which is owned by a collection of nearby residents, features 14 brews on tap and 25 wines by the glass, as well as a full bar. To eat, there's a variety of Mediterranean-inspired small plates and snacks.
More food options may be available in the future, as the owners have invited area food trucks to park nearby to hawk comestibles.
It's still early days for the fledgling business—it's got just one review on Yelp thus far.
Ben N., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on October 29th, said: "Good priced drinks. Great ambience. Reasonably priced drinks. Good place to unwind and watch a game."
