Craving a burger or cocktail? You're in luck: a new business has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 3204 W Armitage Ave. (between Kedzie Ave & Sawyer Ave) in Logan Square, the fresh addition is called The Moonlighter.
This new spot—the latest creation from the folks behind Scofflaw—bills itself as a neighborhood hangout with over 20 craft beers on tap, an extensive cocktail menu, and a pub fare-inspired menu of burgers, salads and "late-night eats."
On the menu, expect to see dishes like a deep-fried beef taco with American cheese; the "Pittsburgh Burger" with blue cheese, ranch, and pickled red onion; the "Portland Vegan Burger" with vegan American cheese and special sauce; and a taco salad with Chihuahua and Oaxaca cheeses, black beans, Fritos, and romaine and iceberg lettuce. (You can check out the full menu here.)
The fresh addition has gotten off to a solid start thus far, with a four-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.
Cinthya Q., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on November 8th, said: "An upgrade for the guys' night out, a lively place to meet your girlfriends (that patio!), and chill enough place for families relaxing after a long day at work. Lots of TVs to watch sports—a winner for all who want a friendly neighborhood bar. All in all, a great addition to the Armitage restaurant corridor."
Yelper Connor M. added: “Beer list is pretty good, the emphasis on sours is appreciated."
And Aprill C. said: "We stopped by late on Sunday night for beers & late night food. Good vibes & comfy barstools! Multiple fireplaces & huge front patio. The staff was all very friendly and eager to take our order."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. The Moonlighter is open weekdays from 5pm–2am, Saturday from 11am–3am, and Sunday from 11am–2am.
